New Glassacre Album To Be Released

February 23rd, 2007

After some pressure, Glassacre have finally caved in and announced their new album, to be released mid April 2007. We can’t tell you the title because as of now they have about 10 possible titles and will have to use some form of Mongolian Witch Doctory to determine which to go with (a dart and a paper list).

What we can tell you though is that we’ve heard the rough mixes and it is sounding splendiferous to say the least. We can also tell you that the band has collaborated with songstress Chloë March who has worked her vocal magic on two tracks.

We’ll post some track previews as things get closer.

Moongoat “Moongoat” - Blood Ties

February 21st, 2007

Excerpt - “It’s pretty “musical” in the traditional sense with a lot of harmony, but there is also a healthy dose of movement and layers. This kind of reminds me of a mix of Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Cel, and the latest Tribes of Neurot album…Each track has it’s own feeling here which I really enjoy and it all stays in a realm that seems covered with a dim green light….There are interesting little details included in all these tracks, whether it be the converging melodic and harmonic lines, or the shuffling and breaking of glass lying just underneath the drones….This is an enjoyable mix of field samples and synth ambient and I recommend this to any fan of electronica-influenced or peaceful ambient. Definitely worth the download. “
