Official Release of “Somewhere Someone Else” by Wes Willenbring

March 27th, 2007

Hidden Shoal Recordings, today announced the official release of the album, “Somewhere Someone Else” by US ambient artist, Wes Willenbring.

With only a guitar and a piano, this San Francisco composer creates somber ambient music that demands attention. Alternating between modified washes of minimalism and neo-classical fragility, Willenbring’s arsenal of simplicity both soothes and tenses up the ears. What’s even better is that Willenbring is just one of many fantastic instrumental artists we just found out about on the international label Hidden Shoal. - Nowlikephotographs Feature Album Excerpt.

“Somewhere Someone Else” is now available from all good digital music stores such as Itunes, eMusic, Sony Connect and Rhapsody. Listen to the album in full here.

The Hero Cycle - Feature Article in Northeast Performer

Excerpt - “The Hero Cycle is a small-town band with big aspirations - especially if one considers Burlington, Vermont a small town and believes that recognition, airplay and other perks are a lot to ask for in the independent music realm, particularly for a young band. Yet, The Hero Cycle has perhaps achieved more and propelled their imaginative blend of music further than many of their contemporaries purely through their ambitious, driven mindset.”
