Hidden Shoal Recordings Sign The Retail Sectors

October 20th, 2007

Hidden Shoal Recordings today announced the signing of the Japanese project The Retail Sectors to its roster of artists. The label will release the mini album Foregone Conclusion by The Retail Sectors on the 4th of December, 2007. The first single from Foregone Conclusion, the Si Begg remix of ‘The First Steps to the End of Life’ will see release on November 13th.

Layering manipulated guitars, bass, drums and electronics to create compelling, melodic instrumentals, the music of The Retail Sectors frequently threatens to spiral out of control, yet like an exquisite train wreck holds the listener rapt. From the pounding euphoria of tracks such as ‘The First Steps to the End of Life’ to the elegiac ‘Beauty of the Depression’, The Retail Sectors create inventive and utterly engaging instrumental rock.Press Release Excerpt
